Daily Schedule

School Day Structure: While our schedule remains flexible to capitalize on teachable moments, our daily schedule is as follows:

  •  Typical Days – 8:10am - 3:25pm (the NWES building is open from 7:45am - 3:45pm)
  • Field Days – typically Wednesdays from 8:10am - 3:25pm (unless otherwise noted by advisors)
  • Work From Home Days (WFHD) – students and families should work together to determine an appropriate learning schedule that meets learning expectations and student needs – students should still attend classes at the traditional Middle and High schools on WFHDs
  • Overnights – schedule designated and noted ahead of time by advisors

All students will report to Northern Waters and school will begin by 8:10am.

Middle School- Students who are in band and/or choir will ride the bus to the traditional middle school. Students who are NOT in band and/or choir should ride the bus to the traditional high school and walk over to Northern Waters, or get dropped off directly at Northern Waters.

High School- Students who have a 1st hour class at the high school should be in their class at the high school by 8:15am at the latest. Students who do not have 1st hour class at the high school should ride the bus to the traditional high school and walk over to Northern Waters, or get dropped off directly at Northern Waters.

Dismissal- Students are dismissed at the end of the day when their workspaces are cleaned and organized, their community contributions are finished, and their advisor has excused them. Students who take the bus home can get on at the traditional high school. School ends at 3:25 pm, unless otherwise noted.

High school students with 5th hour classes at the traditional high school need to complete their daily expectations and check in with their advisor before leaving for their class.
